Fairfield Warde at Danbury, Dec. 19, 5 p.m.: Consistently two of the top teams in the state, the Mustangs finished second to Danbury in the FCIAC, Class LL and State Open last year.
Danbury at Beast of the East tournament, University of Delaware, Dec. 22: One of the top high school competitions in the entire country, the Hatters will test themselves early in the season.
Trumbull Duals at Trumbull, Dec. 29.: A host of squads from across the state will compete at Trumbull High; the Eagles have several top guns, including senior Travis Longo, who transferred from Wilton.
New Canaan at Fairfield Warde, Jan. 16, 6 p.m.: The Rams are enjoying their best period in program history, led by Justin Mastroianni and Tyler Sung. Took fourth in Class L last season with seven grapplers in the top five.
Windham at Killingly Jan. 16, 6 p.m.: Killingly won the ECC last season before claiming the runner-up spot in Class M. Windham won Class S.
Xavier Tournament at Xavier, Jan. 19.: Bristol Eastern and Fairfield Prep are just two of the strong squads that will face off in the tournament with the Falcons. Xavier brings back several state contenders, including Dylan Sousa.
Xavier at Hand, Jan. 29, 7 p.m.: The top two finishers in the SCC last winter, the Falcons finished second in Class L.
New Milford at Newtown, Jan. 31, 7 p.m.: The Green Wave have won 11 of the past 12 SWC championships, but have been hit heavy by graduation losses. The Nighthawks have high hopes of taking the title.
Bristol Central at Bristol Eastern, Feb. 6, 6 p.m.: The two crosstown rivals meet right before the postseason.
