Quarterback T.J. Linta threw for 401 yards and had seven touchdown passes and added a 1-yard touchdown run to lead the Hamden Hall football team to a 52-20 prep school win over Woodstock Academy in Hamden on Wednesday.
The game was originally scheduled for Thursday but was moved to Wednesday due to rain and lightning that was forecast for today (Thursday).
Mike Whalen had four recpetions for 174 yards and two touchdowns and Mike Breuler added four catches for 172 hards and three touchdowns for the Hornets (1-0).
On defense, Brandon Ginetti had three sacks and Joe Lord added nine tackles for the hornets.
Justin Cutting scored two touchdowns for Woodstock Academy (0-1) on runs of 20 and 38 yards.
