Haddam-Killingworth coach Jim Bombaci won his 500th career game in a 66-44 triumph over Hyde Saturday. Some of the coach’s former and current players shared some memories they’ve had from playing for Bombaci.

“I would throw the ball up like I was shooting a three like 50 feet away. It would just hit like right before the rim and one of the taller girls would catch it in the middle of the air and chip in an easy lay-up. Everybody was looking at me when I was shooting it.”
