The Wickham Invitational takes place Saturday for the 31st year. The regional meet draws more than 3,000 runners from throughout New England and New York, but the majority are from Connecticut as they prepare for the CIAC state championships at Wickham Park. on October 26.
The meet begins at 9 a.m., with middle school races. There are freshman, junior varsity, unseeded, seeded and championship races throughout the day.
