            FINE PERFORMANCES

            Derrick Tenney, Wethersfield: Poured in 51 points, a school record, and grabbed 15 rebounds in Wethersfield’s 90-84 victory in overtime against Bloomfield.

            Dev Ostrowski, East Lyme: Scored 41 points, including the 2,000th of his career, to help East Lyme top Stonington 78-62.

            Colin Kellaher, Guilford: Scored a career-high 39 points to help Guilford beat Branford 68-58, scored 24 points in a 67-50 loss to Law and scored 26 more in a 71-64 loss to Wilbur Cross.

            Amir Spears, Windsor: Finished with 30 points and 10 assists in the Warriors’ 84-82 victory over Newington.

            Quannel Straughter, West Haven: Scored 32 points in the Westies’ 73-67 win over Xavier.

            Marcel Robinson, Harding: Scored 31 points in the Presidents’ 86-81 loss to St. Joseph.

            Will Rolapp, Darien: Career-high 44 points helped the Blue Wave beat Fairfield Ludlowe 74-71 in double overtime. Rolapp made seven 3-pointers and fell just one point shy of the school record held by Larry Hart.

            Gavin Grabowski, Valley Regional: Finished with 38 points and 10 rebounds in Valley’s 74-45 win over Haddam-Killingworth.

            Max Mitchell, Notre Dame-Fairfield: Scored 35 points in a 69-65 win over Masuk for the Lancers.

            A.J. Edwards, Amistad: Finished with 30 points in Amistad’s 87-81 win over Weaver.

            Kerwin Prince, Crosby: Poured in 39 points in a 79-70 loss to Waterbury Career.

            Cole Prowitt-Smith, Greens Farms: Had a double-double (35 points, 11 rebounds) in Greens Farms’ 68-65 win over Redemption Christian Academy.

            Bassick coach Bernie Lofton said about East Catholic, which won at Bassick 56-53, handing the Lions their first loss.

            GET OUT AND GO

            Cromwell at Valley Regional, Tuesday, 7 p.m.: Panthers put their undefeated mark on the line with the trip to Deep River to face an improved Warriors’ squad.

            Hillhouse vs. Wilbur Cross at the Floyd Little Athletic Center, Tuesday, 7 p.m.: Hillhouse’s best performance of the season was a 26-point victory over the Governors a month ago.

            Bunnell at Stratford, Wednesday, 7 p.m.: Town rivals in the thick of the SWC playoff race — with possible home quarterfinal-round games on the line.

            East Hartford at East Catholic, Friday, 6:45 p.m.: For the second consecutive Friday, East Catholic has a tough road game. East Hartford overdue to beat one of the CCC title contenders.

            Farmington at Glastonbury, Friday, 6:45 p.m.: Farmington has won seven consecutive games after suffering its only two losses, including one at home to Glastonbury.

            Wilton at Trumbull, Friday, 7 p.m.: Wilton had won six straight before falling at Ridgefield last Friday. Trumbull needs to be careful here.

            OF NOTE

            Prince Tech’s Kazell Stewart surpassed 1,000 career points during Prince Tech’s 72-38 win over Cheney Tech.

            Shelton’s Brian Berritto surpassed 1,000 career points during the Gaels’ 62-52 win over Career.
