Middletown 3, Coginchaug 0 >> Junior pitcher Maddy Feshler tossed a no-hitter to lead the Blue Dragons to a non-league victory on Tuesday night at Durham.
Feshler, who kept the Blue Devils’ hitters off-balance while her defense made all the plays, walked just two.
Alexys Davila and freshman Briana DiMartino had consecutive RBI singles in the fourth to give Middletown a 2-0 lead.
The Blue Dragons (9-9) added an unearned insurance run in the sixth.
Coginchaug fell to 13-7.
Cromwell 12, Wilcox Tech 6; Cromwell 13, Goodwin Tech 5 >> The Panthers qualified for both the Shoreline Conference and state tournaments with a doubleheader sweep on Wednesday.
Against Wilcox Tech, winning pitcher Malorie Leone and Alyssa Poole each had three hits. Megan Fazekas had two doubles, while Elena Masiello and Kate Pietraszek also had two hits for the Panthers (9-11).
Cromwell will travel to Valley Regional today (3 p.m.) for a SLC tournament play-in game. The winner will meet top-seed Morgan in Clinton at 6 p.m.

Xavier seventh at SCC’s >> At Wallingford, Xavier senior Zachary Williams was the runner-up in the 3200 Meter Run at the Southern Connecticut Conference championship meet on Tuesday.
Williams finished in 9:50.48. Fairfield Prep’s Christian Alvarado won the event in 9:26.08.
Williams also placed third in the 1600 (4:29.83).
Amity won the team title with 106 points, while Xavier finished seventh with 46 points.

Mercy’s Roberts wins 3200 >> At Wallingford, Mercy senior Kaleigh Roberts won the 3200 Meter Run at the Southern Connecticut Conference championship meet on Tuesday.
Roberts winning time was 11 minutes and 21.34 seconds.
The Tigers’ 4×800 Meter Relay team of Bridgid Selfors, Mackenzie Pias, Hannah Albert and Roberts also captured the league championship, edging Amity 9:55.37 to 9:56.61.
Amity won the team title with 71 points, while Mercy finished seventh with 44.50 points.
Xavier fifth at SCC’s >> At Race Brook Country Club (Orange), Xavier placed fifth at the SCC championship match on Tuesday.
The Falcons, who scored a 326, were led by Bryan Stanton (78), AJ Sanzaro (81), Alex Jenkins (82), and Ryan DeVille (85).
Hand won the title with a score of 310.
Haddam-Killingworth 178, Hale-Ray 179 >> The Cougars’ John Abbott shot a 33 to earn medalist honors as H-K edged the Noises on Wednesday at Banner Country Club in Moodus.
Alex Segaline (38), Mike Szafran (47), and Joe Parmelee (60) also scored for H-K (8-8, 5-4 SLC).
The Noises (7-9, 4-4 SLC) were led by Justin Fiala (40), David Moreau (43), Shane Fiala (45), and Brian Rasimas (51).
Mercy 219, Masuk 219 >> At Whitney Farms Golf Course, the Tigers (5-4-1) were led by Betty Smith (53), Alyssa Sacndura (54), Jamie Corrone (55), Mackenzie Dugan (57), and Ashley Prokop (61).
Middletown 7, Bulkeley 0 >> At Hartford, the Blue Dragons (8-5) qualified for the state tournament for the fourth consecutive season.
Alex Korik, Corinne O’Toole, Carlie Panasawich, and Mackenzie Terminello led the way with a singles sweep, while the doubles tandems of Amanda and Marissa Bowen, Amy Kozlowski and Isabel Gamble, and Bethany Hong and Nicole Jackson also swept the Bulldogs.
Middletown 6, Plainville 1 >> Junior Mackenzie Terminello lifted the visiting Blue Dragons with a three-set singles win on Wednesday.
Alex Korik and Corinne O’Toole also captured singles wins for Middletown (9-5).
