Lia Baroncini made three saves for the undefeated Sachems (4-0).
Kaitlyn D’Amico netted a first half for the Blue Dragons. Madison Fitzner had the assist, while keeper Jillian Gordon made four saves.
Middletown fell to 3-2.
Amity 2, Mercy 0 >> At Middletown, senior Jessica Hauser had a goal and an assist to lead the Spartans on Wednesday. Nicole Koshes added a first half goal and keeper Abby Allen made two saves for Amity (3-0-2).
Sophomore keeper Sandra Fronc stopped 10 shots for Mercy (3-1-1).
Middletown 3, Maloney 2 >> At Middletown, senior Kelsey White had 11 aces and nine kills and the host Blue Dragons held off the Spartans 25-22, 25-20, 24-26, 15-25 and 15-11 in a CCC matchup on Wednesday.
Jenna Dickes collected five kills and five aces, while Kayla Pieta added six aces for Middletown (3-1).
Melanie Polanco had 16 kills and four aces to lead Maloney (2-4).
Hale Ray 3, Creed 0 >> At Moodus, senior Mary Pease garnered 37 service points in the Noises’ 25-1, 25-11 and 25-3 Shoreline sweep on Wednesday. Aurea Orencia had a kill for the Howling Wolves (0-5).
Hale Ray improved to 3-2.
Hand 3, Mercy 1 >> At Madison, senior Amy Boyle had 16 kills and 11 digs in Mercy’s 25-21, 23-25, 25-21 and 25-13 loss. Meghan Fusco had 21 digs and Drea Defilippo had 13 digs for Mercy (4-1).
Hand improved to 5-1.
Haddam-Killingworth 3, North Branford 0 >> Sam Mohammed had 12 service points, three aces and five kills, while Kate Porter had 21 assists and 10 service points to lead the visiting Cougars to a 25-15, 25-12 and 25-22 sweep. H-K improved to 6-0.
Hand 95 Mercy 81 >> At Middletown, senior Kelly Doktorski won both the 200 IM (2:22.01) and 100 Freestyle (56.84) to lead Hand (2-1) in an SCC dual meet on Wednesday at Wesleyan.
Mercy got first place performances from Sarah San-Vicente in the 100 Backstroke (1:13.66) and Rachel Gerzabek in the 100 Breaststroke (1:20:33).
Mercy (0-3) also garnered a pair of wins in the 200 Free Relay (Katie Shumann, Sarah Olson, Haley Andrews, Claire Strom) and 400 Free Relay (Olson, Morgan Hughes, Strom, Emily Frost).
Guilford 2, Haddam-Killingworth 1 >> At Higganum, junior Olivia Clarke’s scored the game-winner on an unassisted goal in the second half to lead the Indians to a non-conference win. Celia Mariconda notched a first half goal for Guilford (4-0).
Bella Cosenza also added a first goal for the host Cougars (4-1).
Hamden 1, Xavier 0 >> At Middletown, senior Carl Legere scored the game-winning goal and keeper Simon Pinela made six saves to lift the Green Dragons (2-3) on Wednesday.
Anthony Shea stopped four shots for the Falcons (1-3).
