Darien’s girls tennis team won all but the No. 1 doubles match en route to a 6-1 victory over Hand in the CIAC Class L girls semifinals at Madison Wednesday. It ended a two-year unbeaten run by the Tigers, whose last loss was to Lauralton Hall in the 2016 Class M championship.
Darien’s Lilly Ma rallied to beat Hand’s Sam Riordan in three sets. Darien’s Emilia Callery swept Lindsay Riordan in two sets, needing a tiebreak to win the second. Darien’s Emily Wiley and Katie Wiley both won their singles matches in two sets.

Hand’s only victory was a two-set win over Darien’s Emily Neuner and Juliet Holmes (6-4, 7-6 (4)).
Darien improved to 19-0. Hand’s team season ended at 22-1.
Darien advances to face Staples in the Class L championship Friday, 3 p.m. at Yale.
