I have been a fan of uniforms for as long as I have been watching sports and it turns out, others are just as fascinated. I began writing about baseball uniforms several years ago on the HearstCT Baseball Blog and found out people are super into it.
GametimeCT provides the perfect platform to relaunch Uni-Browse and take a love of uniforms state wide.
Most of all, talking about uniforms is really fun and we here at GameTimeCT want to get you the fans in on the conversation.
Football is traditionally a conservative landscape of uniforms, but over the last decade that has changed and some teams are embracing new looks and designs, while others are keeping the classics in style.
We want to see the new, the old, the traditional and the alternates.

Here are your choices for this week.
Newtown was ahead of the curve with quality uniforms years ago and they are still making a fashion statement. The helmets are superb. White helmets with large white nighthawk outlined in blue on one side and the players’ numbers on the other. The jerseys are royal blue with white numbers trimmed in gold with “NEWTOWN” across the chest. The sleeves have white, gold and blue stripes with the numbers on top of the shoulder pads. Pants are blue with a gold stripe down the legs.
Woodland comes in with the weekly all-black look. Gold helmets have the black and white school hawk logo on the side. The jerseys are black with white numbers outlined in gold and “WOODLAND” across the chest. There are stripes from the shoulders coming down the front of the jersey and there are gold and white stripes down the sides. The numbers are on top of the pads. The pants are black “W” on the left leg.
Wilton has cool helmets. White helmets with a navy and light blue arrow on the side and navy stripe down the middle. The jerseys are simple, navy with white numbers and “WARRIORS” across the chest. There are two white stripes on each shoulder and the numbers are on the lower part of the sleeve. The pants nay with two thin white stripes down the sides.
Coming in from up north, Bloomfield in orange makes a compelling case as top uniform. Orange helmets with a blue “B” on the side and a white stripe, outlined in blue down the center. Orange jerseys with white numbers outlined in blue and “BLOOMFIELD” across the chest and a blue “B” on the nameplate on the back. The sleeves have a blue stripe with a warhawk logo on the lower sleeve and numbers on top. The pants are white with an orange stripe and “WARHAWKS” down the right leg.
Which jersey is better?
