I have been a fan of uniforms for as long as I have been watching sports and it turns out, others are just as fascinated. I began writing about baseball uniforms several years ago on the HearstCT Baseball Blog and found out people are super into it.
GametimeCT provides the perfect platform to relaunch Uni-Browse and take a love of uniforms state wide.
Most of all, talking about uniforms is really fun and we here at GameTimeCT want to get you the fans in on the conversation.
Football is traditionally a conservative landscape of uniforms, but over the last decade that has changed and some teams are embracing new looks and designs, while others are keeping the classics in style.
We want to see the new, the old, the traditional and the alternates.

Here are your choices for this week.
SIMSBURY
Simsbury did the right thing alerting us here at Uni-Browse to its alternate uniforms. Helmets were the standard, navy blue with gold numbers on the side and a gold stripe down the middle. The jerseys set it off. Gold jerseys but the numbers are American flag style, red, white and blue stars and stripes. The sleeves are blue with white stars, just as on the flag. There is a “S” on the left chest and “SIMSBURY” across the front. They have names on the back in blue. The pants here were white with a gold “S” on the upper left leg.
BUNNELL
Bunnell comes in hot with some of the coolest helmets in the state. Blue helmets with no side logo but a menacing blue bulldog face in the silver, center stripe. Very unique. The jerseys are black with blue numbers outlined in white and “BUNNELL” across the chest in white. Numbers are on top of the shoulders with a blue stripe on the bottom of the sleeve. Pants are black with a blue and white stripe down the sides.
EAST HAVEN
Keeping it simple at East Haven with a classic look. Navy helmets with gold numbers on the side and a gold stripe down the center. Jerseys are navy with gold numbers outlined in white. There is an interlocking “EH” across the chest. The numbers are on top of the shoulders with no stripes on the sleeves. The coolest feature is on the gold pants where they have a yellow jacket logo on the upper left leg.
EAST HARTFORD
You want simple yet sick uniforms? Look no further than East Hartford. Solid gold helmets, no logos, no stripes, no nonsense. The jerseys are black with gold numbers and “HORNETS” across the chest. The neck is ringed by a thick gold halo. There are gold numbers on top of the shoulder pads. The pants are straight black.
