Stop us if you’ve heard this one…
Waterford down late. Miliseconds left. With possession.
You know what happens next.
This shot might have been the best of Waterford’s bunch.
Down 54-53 with seconds left, Johnson — a 5-foot-5 senior — took a long inbounds pass at midcourt, took one step and launched a prayer that — since this is Waterford — fell through the net at the horn to give the Lancers a 56-54 victory.
Cue a well-rehearsed court storm by the Waterford student section.
Waterford’s so used to making buzzer beaters we had no less than four different versions of this shot brought to our attention within minutes. Thanks to all the fine student videographers out there.
And here they are from, in order, @Kyle_Cardoza, @mikeybuscetto, @yaahomegirl and @L3Beaney.

The victory was Waterford’s 12th-straight and capped a 17-3 regular season. The Lancers earned the No. 2 seed and a bye in the ECC Tournament.
Waterford will play the winner of Griswold-Lyman Memorial in the ECC Quarterfinals on Saturday at Fitch.
To whomever plays Waterford, here’s a hot tip: Put em away early. Run a stall offense. Never give them the ball ever.
