Middletown 62, Platt 52 >> At Meriden, the Blue Dragons outscored the Panthers 21-10 in the fourth quarter en route to a Central Connecticut Conference South Division win on Monday night.
“We played outstanding team ball and with great intensity, especially in the fourth quarter,” Middletown coach Rob Smernoff said. “This was a really good team win.”
Brielle Wilborn led all scorers with 18 points, Silvana Barcomb and Jenny Barbour each had nine points, while Amanda Fudge and Dominique Highsmith netted seven points apiece to lead Middletown (5-4, 4-0 CCC South).
Kaylani Inman had 16 points and Jasmine Mitchell added 11 points for Platt (4-5, 1-3).
Coginchaug 38, Old Saybrook 25 >> At Durham, Carly Lane and Alana Beckert each had nine points to lead the host Blue Devils balanced attack on Tuesday.
Bridget Turecek had eight points and , Jessica King chipped in seven points as Coginchaug (7-3) won its seventh straight.
Marissa Newell had nine points for the Rams (2-8).
Xavier 49, Hamden 36 >> Evan Curtin scored 19 points and Alex White collected a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds as the visiting Falcons improved to 7-0 Monday night.
Aidan Carpenter had eight points for the Green Dragons (5-3).
Xavier improves to 7-0. Hamden falls to 5-3.
East Hampton 65, Hale-Ray 44 >> Drew Arcidiacono had a game-high 22 points and Tom Close added 11 points to lift the host Bellringers (5-3) on Tuesday.
Connor Egan had 16 points and Matt Augustine had 14 points to lead the Noises (1-6).
Morgan 58, Valley Regional 42 >> At Clinton, Dylan Ketch had 19 points and Mike Murray added 12 points to leads the Huskies (3-3) on Tuesday.
Nash Eppard had a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Kelvin Peterson had 11 points for the Warriors (3-6).
