Valley Regional 60, Haddam-Killingworth 40 >> The Warriors ouscored the Cougars 23-9 in the third quarter en route to their ninth consecutive win Tuesday night at Higganum. David Bradbury scored a game-high 17 points, while Chris Jean-Pierre added 16 points for Valley (11-2). Matt Genovesio had 10 points and Kyle McCormick had nine points for H-K (6-8), which trailed just 27-21 at halftime.
Middletown 81, Plainville 27 >> The host Blue Dragons rolled to their sixth straight win Tuesday night win behind a game-high 22 points from junior guard Jordan Robinson. Savon Williams added 11 points, O’Brien Watson had 12 rebounds and Makai Hunter had six steals for Middletown (9-5). Sophomore Tim Dixon had 11 points for Plainville (1-13).
Coginchaug 47, North Branford 28 >> Senior forward Morgan Kuehnle had a double-double with 12 points and 11 reboounds to lead the Blue Devils Tuesday at Durham. Sophomore Larissa Cade added eight points for Coginchaug (12-3). Sabrina LeMere had a game-high 16 points for the T-birds (4-12).
Middletown 53, Plainville 47 >> The Blue Dragons remained tied for first in the CCC South with a key divisional win at Plainville. Tamyia King had 14 points, while Brielle Wilborn and Rajeen Mayo each had nine points for Middletown (10-6, 9-1), which built a 27-14 halftime advantage. Senior forward Kelsey Clemens had a game-high 21 points and Deja Nolan added 11 points for the Blue Devils (10-6, 7-3). The Blue Dragons, who are tied with Bristol Eastern for the top spot in the CCC South, host Maloney Friday on Senior Night (7 p.m.).
