Tuesday's Greater Middletown roundup: Mikaela Coady lifts Middletown girls soccer

Middletown 2, Bristol Central 1 >> Mikaela Coady scored two goals and goalie Desiree Hinton made eight saves as the Blue Dragons edged the Rams Tuesday at Bristol Central. Kellie Gambell had an assist for Middletown (11-2). Michaela Bossi had one goal and keeper Chandler Walker made nine saves for the Rams (7-3-2).
Haddam-Killingworth 3, Hale-Ray 0 >> Jenny Martin, Molly Madore, and Jackie Stephens had one goal apiece to lead the host Cougars. Rachel Artus had two assists and goalie Tevi Ferguson preserved the shutout with three saves for H-K (7-3-2). Faith Cooley made eight saves for the Little Noises (4-8).
Field hockey
Haddam-Killingworth 3, Old Saybrook 2 >> Kiley Anderson had two goals and goalie Meghan Cerino made eight saves as the Cougars edged the Rams Tuesday at Higganum. Danni Roman had one goal, while Jen Halleck, Allison Sheahan, and Hannah Casey each had one assist for H-K (10-2, 8-1 SLC). Lauren Pascoe and Meghan Sullivan each had second half goals, while goalie Jill Murphy made three saves for Old Saybrook (4-5-2, 2-4-2 SLC).
