Cromwell 66, North Branford 39 >> Janelle Harrison and Mya Villard each posted double-doubles to lead the host Panthers to a Shoreline Conference victory Tuesday night. Harrison finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Villard had 19 points and 12 rebounds. Senior guard Emily Appleby had 10 points, five assists and five steals for Cromwell (6-1). Sophomore guard Sabrina LeMere had a game-high 25 points for the T-birds (3-4), who led 21-17 after one quarter.
Haddam-Killingworth 49, Lyme-Old Lyme 41 >> Senior forward Kiley Anderson had 18 points, 18 rebounds and five blocked shots to lead the Cougars Tuesday at Higganum. Maya Savino and Caroline Fortuna each had eight points for H-K (5-2). Hannah Behringer had 11 points, while Hannah O’Brien and Sloane Sweitzer had nine points apiece for the Wildcats (2-4), who led 15-11 after one quarter.
Coginchaug 47, Old Saybrook 39 >> Caryn Sibiskie powered the Blue Devils with 13 points and 16 rebounds Tuesday night at Old Saybrook. Kim Romanoff added 11 points, while Morgan Kuehnle had eight points and 15 rebounds for Coginchaug (6-1). Elizabeth Marshall had 12 points and Mia Neas had 11 points for the Rams (4-3).
Morgan 51, Valley Regional 20 >> Sami Ashton had 17 points and Lily Dawson had 10 points to lead the Huskies (6-1) Tuesday night at Clinton. Kiernan Decker had six points and Francesca Daniels had five points for the Warriors (1-4).
Xavier 51, Amity 38 >> Brandon McPherson had 14 points and Kaleb Lutton had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Falcons at Middletown. Thomas Jackson added 11 points for Xavier (5-1). Matt Ronai had 12 points and Dave Ryan had 10 points for the Spartans (2-4).
Wesleyan 81, Simmons College 45 >> The Cardinals raced out to a 15-2 lead and never looked back Tuesday night at Middletown. Senior KellyAnn Rooney had a game-high 14 points, sophomore Kaylie William had 12 points and eight rebounds, sophomore Jackie Brown added 10 points and junior Cherkira Lashley chipped in with seven points and nine rebounds for Wesleyan (9-3). Simmons was led by Freshman Kim Hixon had 10 for Simmons (2-9).
Women’s ice hockey
Wesleyan 4, New England College 3 >> Cara Jankowski had two goals and Jordan Schildhaus had a goal and three assists to lead the Cardinals to a non-conference win Tuesday afternoon at Henniker (N.H.). Kellie McLean netted two goals and Mackenzie Meegan had two assists for the Pilgrims (1-10-0). Wesleyan goaltender Laura Corcoran made 15 saves as the Cardinals improved to 3-5-2.
