Molly Zaffino, Branford: Zaffino had two goals to lead the Hornets to their 3-0 SCC win over Lyman Hall as first-year coach Pete Frye got his first career win.
Lexi Koplas, Westbrook: Koplas had three goals to lead the Knights to a 7-0 win over Somers.
Bridget Mulloy, Staples: The goalie had four saves in a 2-1 win over Darien.
Alexi DiPierro, Fairfield Warde: DiPierro had two goals in a 3-0 win over McMahon.
Maddie Mickune, Pomperaug: Mickune had two goals in a 3-0 win over Stamford.
Lexi Brown, Somers: Brown had 35 saves in a 7-0 loss to Westbrook.
Lexi Hemstock, Cheshire: Hemstock had five saves in a 2-0 win over FCIAC power New Canaan, which was last season’s CIAC Class M tournament runner-up.
Tory Ryder, Valley Regional: Ryder had three goals in a 5-1 win over Waterford.

Saturday
Glastonbury at Hand, 4 p.m.: The Tomahawks, one of the top teams in the north led by forward Hana Lataille, faces CIAC Class M defending champion Hand.
Monday
New Milford at Pomperaug, 6:30 p.m.: In a key SWC matchup, talented New Milford visits Pomperaug, the No. 1 seed in the CIAC Class M tournament last season that advanced to the quarterfinals.
Tuesday (Sept. 18)
New Canaan at Wilton, 4 p.m.: Two extremely talented teams face off in a key FCIAC matchup. New Canaan, led by experienced goalie Emily Gaeta, was the CIAC Class M tournament runner-up last season. Wilton, 11-4-0-1 in the 2017 regular season, was runner-up in last season’s FCIAC tournament.
