Darien and New Canaan remained affixed in the top two spots, but there was plenty of movement elsewhere in the Top 10 Girls Lacrosse Coaches poll for week two.
The biggest jump came from the Greenwich Cardinals, who moved up four spots from 10 to 6 after defeating then-No. 3 Cheshire 13-12 last Thursday.
The Wilton Warriors and Staples Wreckers each moved up a place to third and fourth, respectively. The Wreckers have a pair of big games coming up as they’ll host Cheshire at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, and Ridgefield at 4 p.m., next Thursday, April 25.
Pomperaug, which is tied at No. 8 with Ridgefield, and No. 10 New Fairfield are newcomers to the 2019 poll this week, replacing Glastonbury and Conard, which dropped out.
As a conference, the FCIAC is still dominating the poll, with seven teams in the top eight, including the top four.
