Mercy 8, West Haven 2 >> The Tigers blasted five home runs Wednesday night at Biondi Field.
Astin Donovan powered the Mercy attack with two homers. Stephanie Mangiameli, Stephanie Dean, and Olivia Fiascanaro also homered, while Brianna Sawicki earned the pitching win for the Tigers (8-2).
West Haven fell to 3-8.
Mercy 5, Hamden 0 >> At Middletown, winning pitcher Mary Adametz allowed one-hit and struck out 12 as the Tigers captured their eighth straight victory.
Juliana Dellacamera went 3-for-3, Astin Donovan had two hits, Kamryn Geyson and Maddie Kumm both doubled, and Stephanie Dean had a triple for Mercy (9-2).
The Green Dragons fell to 5-8.
Morgan 12, Valley Regional 0 (5) >> Emily Popp allowed just two hits while striking out 12 to lead the Huskies Wednesday at Deep River.
Kelsey Donaldson went 4-for-4 with four RBI’s, Jen Dawson was 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI’s, and Jamie Fitzgerald had a triple, four runs scored and three stolen bases for Morgan (9-2).
Emily Dona and Sarah Curran each had one hit for the Warriors (4-6).
Cheney Tech 18, Vinal Tech 17 >> The Beavers (3-10) scored four runs, including the winning run on a passed ball, in the bottom of the seventh Thursday at Manchester.
Dakota Markham went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and Jasmine Jackson was 4-for-5 with three RBI’s for the Hawks (2-8).
Valley Regional 3, Morgan 2 >> Winning pitcher Nash Eppard scattered five hits while striking out five and Tristian Suedmeier tossed a scoreless seventh inning as the Warriors captured their third straight SLC win Wednesday at Deep River.
Arik Sypher went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Valley (5-9).
Alex Lipka had a triple for the Huskies (8-5), who had an eight-game winning streak snapped.
Mercy 14, Lyman Hall 2 >> Casey Nelson, Abby Benchimol, and Olivia Ozycz had three goals apiece to lift the Tigers on Thursday at Wallingford.
Jessica Corcoran made six saves for Mercy (5-5).
Deanna Schrock scored both goals for the Trojans (0-11).
Old Saybrook 5, Coginchaug 2 >> At Durham, the Blue Devils’ Joe Ertle won a hard-fought 7-5, 6-7, 7-6 match against Peter Blank at No. 5 singles, while Brian Jubelirer and Scott Romeyn capture doubles win for Coginchaug (5-8).
Mercy 4, Foran 3 >> Natalie Harackiewicz, Marla Walton, Presley Termini, and Kathryn Hanly led the Tigers (4-8) with a singles sweep Wednesday at Milford.
The Lions fell to 1-9.
Xavier 151, Fairfield Prep 152, Notre Dame 157 >> The Falcons improved to 9-3 with a pair of wins Thursday at Racebrook Country Club.
Bryan Stanton led Xavier with a 37, while Ryan DeVille, Alex Jenkins, and AJ Sanzaro each shot a 38.
Andrew Sciaretta shot a 34 to earn medalist honors for the Jesuits (6-5-1).
Andrew Madar shot a 38 for the Green Knights (6-4).
Portland 173, Coginchaug 194 >> Coginchaug’s John McLaughlin and Portland’s Nick Piersall shared medalist honors by each shooting a 42 on Thursday at Lyman Orchards.
The Highlanders scoring lineup also included Jimmy Kelley (43), Jon Twichell (44), and Connor Giveans (44).
Matt Fontaine shot a 46 for the Blue Devils.
Hale-Ray 187, Old Saybrook 214 >> At Fox Hopyard (East Haddam), Shane Fiala shot a 37 to earn medalist honors for the Noises (5-2). The Rams fell to 2-6.
Morgan 156, Valley Regional 176, Lyme/Old Lyme 199 >> The Huskies’ Gabe Van Ness and Maxx Bugg shared medalist honors by each shooting a 35 at Black Hall.
Keegan Bauman shot a 42 and Justin Craco shot a 43 for the Warriors, while Jake Tiffany led the host Wildcats with a 46.
Cromwell 157, East Hampton 188 > At Banner Country Club in Moodus, medalist Julian Thomas shot a 37 to lead the Panthers.
Brett Sadinsky and Nick Lattanzio each shot a 38 for Cromwell.
Josh Basil shot low round for the Bellringers with a 43.
Mercy 197, Suffield/East Granby 226 >> Jamie Corrone shot a 44 to lead the Tigers at Copper Hill Golf Course in East Granby.
Mackenzie Dugan and Alyssa Scandura each shot a 50 for Mercy (3-1).
Suffield’s Emma Heim was the medalist with a 42.

Middletown 103, Plainville 47 >> The host Blue Dragons got first place performances from Calvin Dempsey (110 hurdles), Kareem Bracket (100 and long jump), Laurenzo THompkins (300 hurdles), Ben Schaff (800), Jeremy Perry (200), Julian Carraway (javelin and shot put), Jordan Baker (triple jump), Jeremy Perry (high jump), and Jack Flynn (pole vault).
Girls Outdoor Track
Plainville 73, Middletown 72 >> Rajeen Mayo won the long jump, triple jump and was part of the 4×100 winning relay team for the host Blue Dragons.
Shariffa Mason captured the 400 and also ran in Middletown’s winning 4×400 relay, while Alexus Privott won the 100 hurdles.
Amity 3, Xavier 2 >> At Woodbridge, the Spartans (3-9) edged the Falcons 15-25, 25-19, 26-24, 22-25 and 15-12.
David Sonski had a career-high 10 kills, while Kevin Berger had 40 assists for Xavier (9-3).
