Fairfield Prep and Guilford were the big movers in the latest GameTimeCT Boys Hockey Top 10 Poll for Jan. 29.
The Jesuits, fresh off back-to-back victories over Xavier and Hamden, inched closer to .500 and earned enough votes to jump two spots to No. 4 this week. Guilford, meanwhile, won its ninth-straight game and also jumped two spots, from No. 10 to No. 8.
Hamden’s loss to Prep dropped the Dragons to No. 6. Watertown/Pomperaug and NFI both dropped.
Unbeaten Ridgefield remained the unanimous No. 1 with 14 first-place votes and was, once again, followed by No. 2 Darien and No. 3 Northwest Catholic. Notre Dame-West Haven and New Canaan remained No. 5 and No. 7, respectively.
