The top three teams in this week’s poll remain the same with Amity hanging on to the top spot despite losing another first-place vote to undefeated Waterford. The Lancers are just 16 points back from the top spot, which the Spartans have held all year.
Darien stays at No. 3.
South Windsor — despite not losing — dropped from No. 4 to No. 6 which allowed Berlin and Hamden to move up one spot, respectively.
Bristol Eastern remains No. 7 after going 4-0 last week including two Top 10 wins. One of those victories was over poll newcomer New Britain. In spite of losing two games, the Golden Hurricanes make their 2016 poll debut at No. 8.
Cheshire also joins the fray. Winners of nine straight, including handing Amity its only loss on May 5, the Rams are peaking at the right time.
East Catholic hangs onto the No. 10 spot after losing to Bristol Eastern.
