Tyler Herget
Darien
Stats: Collected 155 service aces, 301 service points and 213 digs. Had 356 kills and a .392 hit percentage. As a senior co-captain, Herget led Darien on a 24-match win streak that included a string of 51 consecutive game victories. The Blue Wave were 2019 FCIAC Champions and Class L runnerups.
Honors: All-FCIAC First Team selection. CHSCA Class L All-State selection. CHSCA Player of the Year finalist.

Leonel Caceres
Newington
Stats: Collected 795 assists. Was a critical part of Newington’s Class M three-peat. He moved from hitter to setter for his senior year since the Indians only graduated one starter — their setter —from their 2018 squad.
Honors: All-CCC West Division First Team. A CHSCA Class M All-State choice. CHSCA Player of the Year finalist.
Up Next: Will play club volleyball at Central Connecticut State University in the fall.

Logan Carstens
Staples
Stats: One of three seniors on the Wreckers. Co-captain posted team highs in assists (221) and kills (121) and was second in aces (61).
Honors: All-FCIAC First Team selection. CHSCA Class L All-State selection. Voted CHSCA Player of the Year.

Newington
Stats: Collected 272 kills. Was a key component of Newington’s reign as three-time defending Class M champions.
Honors: An All-CCC West Division choice. A CHSCA Class M All-State pick.

Colby Hayes
Cheshire
Stats: Hayes finished 2019 with 288 kills and 59 blocks as Cheshire captured the SCC Tournament title and reached the Class M final, losing to Newington.
Honors: Voted Most Outstanding Player in the SCC Tournament. SCC Player of the Year. CHSCA Class M All-State selection. CHSCA Player of the Year finalist.
Up Next: He is playing club volleyball at the University of Rhode Island.

Kayque Jorge
Danbury
Stats: Amassed 464 kills and a .341 hit percentage. Also had 34 blocks, 213 digs and 52 aces. Led Danbury to a 16-8 record that included reaching the FCIAC semifinals (beaten by Staples) and the Class L quarterfinals (losing to Darien).
Honors: An All-FCIAC First Team selection. A Class L CHSCA All-State choice.
Up Next: Will play volleyball at Johnson & Wales (RI) in the fall.

Ardian Kodzodziku
Newtown
Stats: He collected 301 kills and had a .462 hit percentage. Was a co-captain as Newtown (23-1 overall) was 19-0 in the regular season and repeated as SWC Tournament champs. The Nighthawks beat Darien, 3-2 to open the season on March 30, but lost 3-1 to the Blue Wave in the Class L semifinals.
Honors: All-SWC First team selection. SWC Tournament MVP. CHSCA Class L All-State choice.

Finn McCaffrey
Joel Barlow
Stats: The co-captain led Barlow to a 14-1 start this season before being injured in early May and missing the rest of the season. Collected 247 kills (.234 hit percentage) with 132 digs and 27 blocks.
Honors: All-SWC first team selection. A CHSCA Class M All-State choice. CHSCA Player of the Year finalist.
Up Next: Will play volleyball at Endicott College (Mass.) in the fall.

Tristan McDonough
Masuk
Stats: The 6-foot-5 hitter collected a Connecticut state best 467 kills (.307 hit percentage) along with 244 digs and 67 aces as Masuk lost in the Class M quarterfinals to Cheshire. In the regular season, Masuk lost to state tournament teams Newtown (twice), Joel Barlow (twice), Oxford (twice), SCC Tourney champ and Class M finalist Cheshire (once) and SCC Tourney finalist Hand (once).
Honors: An All-SCC First Team selection. A CHSCA Class M All-State choice.

Zack Morgan
Southington
Stats: The co-captain was the No. 1 setter in the state with 911 assists. Orchestrated the offense during the Blue Knights’ 23-1 season that included three wins over Class M state champ Newington. Lone defeat came in Class L semifinals to eventual champ Staples.
Honors: All-CCC West Division First Team choice. Class L CHSCA All-State selection.
Up Next: Will be attending Seton Hall University.

Cheshire
Stats: Collected 625 assists. Had a 95 percent serve percentage as Cheshire captured SCC Championship and was Class M runnerup.
Honors: An All-SCC First Team selection.

Southington
Stats: The 6-foot-3 co-captain had 364 kills and a .244 hit percentage for the CCC Tournament champs.
