Connecticut's premier high school sports website
Twelve schools, primarily located in Middlesex County make up the Shoreline Conference. It's a collection of rural and light suburban small schools that hug the lower Connecticut River Valley and northern coast of Long Island Sound between New Haven and New London. Long a coastal conference, which once included Hand and Guilford, the Shoreline has added northern schools, Cromwell, Portland, East Hampton and Hale Ray over the last two decades. The league excels in traditional sports like baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer and track and field. The league does not sponsor football or hockey, but a variety of co-op programs from the Shoreline compete in other leagues, specifically The Pequot League (essentially a merger of the Shoreline and NCCC) in football and the SCC in hockey.
