The beginning of this 2016-17 high school season will see a realignment for seven sports, three of which happen during the fall season: boys and girls soccer and girls volleyball.
But the four division names will remain the same: Hammonasset, Housatonic, Quinnipiac and Oronoque.
The following are the new division alignments for the three fall sports through the 2017-18 season. Each team listed first will play the other teams listed first twice in crossover games, as will the second teams listed and so on down the line.
Hammonasset: Fairfield Prep, Shelton, West Haven, North Haven, Career
Housatonic: Daniel Hand, Branford, Sheehan, Amity Regional, Jonathan Law
Oronoque: Guilford, Cheshire, Notre Dame, Wilbur Cross, East Haven
Quinnipiac: Xavier, Lyman Hall, Hamden, Foran
Hammonasset: Guilford, Mercy, Branford, West Haven, Foran
Housatonic: Cheshire, Amity Regional, Hamden, North Haven, Jonathan Law
Oronoque: Shelton, Sacred Heart Academy, Sheehan, Wilbur Cross
Quinnipiac: Lauralton Hall, Daniel Hand, East Haven, Lyman Hall
For the one boys soccer division and two girls soccer divisions that have just four teams, all of those teams will play six division games and eight crossover games.

Housatonic: Amity Regional, Shelton, East Haven, Lyman Hall, Wilbur Cross
