Ned Gresham and Noah Rattet scored to lead the Guilford boys’ soccer team to a 2-0 SCC interdivision win over Notre Dame-West Haven in Tuesday’s season opener for both in West Haven.
Nat Wilson had two saves for Guilford in the victory.
Platt Tech 5, Whitney Tech 1 >> The Panthers scored five first-half goals to cruise past Whitney Tech in Constitution State Conference play at Milford.
Fred Davila scored twice and Brandon Duhaime had three assists for Platt Tech. Nestor Leon scored for Whitney Tech.

Seymour 1, Holy Cross 0 >> Marcos Espinosa scored in the 37th minute to lift the Wildcats to their Naugatuck Valley League win at Seymour.
Anthony Ragaini had the assist. Roy Fitzgerald made four saves in the shutout. Luca DiCarlo had 13 saves for Holy Cross.
Sheehan 5, Law 1 >> Andrew Caplan scored three goals to lead the Titans past the Lawmen in SCC interdivision play at Milford.
Esteban SantaCruz and Drin Pacuku also scored for Sheehan. Antonio Gjuraj scored for Law.
West Haven 3, Foran 2 >> Pablo Perez had a goal and two assists all in the second half for West Haven in this SCC interdivision win at Milford.
Sebastian Parra and Kevin Ruiz also scored for the Westies. Jimmy Berkovich and Julian Yuliwan scored for the Lions.
Lyman Hall 4, East Haven 0 >> Antonio Jandreau scored three goals as the Trojans blanked the Easties in SCC interdivision play at East Haven. Alex Burr added a goal and Nick Gagnon had two assists for Lyman Hall.
