Winning all 12 events, the Greenwich boys swimming team added another convincing win to its ledger, defeating visiting Fairfield Warde/Ludlowe on Friday.
Freshman Aiden Bucaria was a double winner, placing first in the 100-yard freestyle (49.46), then winning the 100 breaststroke (1:03.87).
Junior Nick Todorovic finished first in the 200 freestyle (1:48.71), while his brother, Marko, touched the wall first in the 500 freestyle (5:01.18) for the Cardinals.
Nicholas Malchow, a junior, finished first in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:59.47. Cardinals teammate Jack Jee was second in the event in 2:00.67.
Aidan Kriskey posted a winning performance on the 1-meter diving board (207.10). Sophomore Ryan Jee won the 100 butterfly in 53.28 seconds, while junior Hunter Johnson was the victor in the 100 backstroke for GHS, clocking in at 56.74.
The 200 medley relay team of Ben Schinto, Ryan Jee, Mark Merson and Tommy Lewis won the 200 medley relay in 1:41.08. Malchow, Spencer Plavoukos, Nick Todorovic and Ryan Jee combined to win the 200 freestyle relay (1:31.19). The meet concluded with Merson, Nick Todorovic, Erin Stehmann and James Pascale taking first in the 400 freestyle relay (3:22.30).
Greenwich hosts Westhill/Stamford on Wednesday.
Greenwich opened its season with a win against Norwalk and a loss versus Staples on Friday at the YWCA of Greenwich.
Celine Perrin placed second on the vault for the Cardinals with a score of 8.2. Mia Guster of Staples won the vault (9.45), while teammate Chloe Ashton scored an 8.0
Guster was the winner on the uneven bars (9.3) and Ashton placed second (7.8) and Allen of Staples was third (7.35).
Emma Kelly of Greenwich tied Staples’ Mimi Schindler on the balance beam event (8.2). Guster was second (8.1) and Allie Trotman of the Cardinals was third (7.7), along with Ashton.
Guster scored an 8.9 in the floor exercise. Ashton finished with a 7.9 and Trotman tied Norwalk’s Alyssa Smeriglio and Jamie Hebel (Staples) for third in the floor exercise with a score of 7.8.
Trotman’s all-around score was 30.3 (third place). Guster had the top all-around score (35.75).
