Phillips Exeter Academy ran to victory at the NEPSAC Division I Girls Cross Country Championships, winning the team title with a score of 55 points at Avon Old Farms School on Saturday.
Winsor School placed second in the team standings (91), followed by Phillips Andover Academy (112), Deerfield Academy (123) and Noble and Greenough School (130). St. Paul’s School (180), Choate Rosemary Hall (183), Loomis Chaffee School (185), Northfield Mount Hermon (241) and Miss Porter’s School (257) rounded out the top-10 teams.
Deerfield Academy junior Victoria Patterson won race with a time of 17:49. Meg Madison of Winsor placed second with a time of 19:01 and Gia Pisano of Phillips Exeter Academy finished third in 19:28.
Hannah Pak of Phillips Exeter Academy placed fourth in 19:37, while Noelle Abeyta (Deerfield) finished fifth with a time of 19:38. Clare Quinn of Winsor was sixth in 19:44, Alexandra Poole of Miss Porter’s placed seventh with a time of 19:44 and Alexandra Van Dikum from Phillips Andover Academy took eighth in 19:49. Lauren Henderson (St. Paul’s, 20:00) and Isabel May (Northfield Mount Hermon, 20:01) were ninth and 10th, respectively.
Greenwich Academy’s Cora Creighton placed 14th in 20:12.
The NEPSAC Division II Girls Championships saw Suffield Academy claim the team title with a score of 65 points. Thayer Academy placed second in the team standings (90), followed by Middlesex (97), Worcester Academy (175) and Hopkins School (193).
Gabrielle Arcand of Worcester Academy was the race’s winner, posting a time of 19:08. Lara D’Alessandro from Kent School finished second in 19:16 and Izzy Dutranoit of Suffield Academy placed third with a time of 19:28.
Maliya Ellis of Hopkins School turned in a fifth-place finish with a time of 20:06.
