Pete’s Picks: The CT Hockey Sweater Tournament Final 4

Peter Paguaga | January 19, 2021

Welcome back to Pete’s Picks, your weekly look into the mind of the GameTimeCT sports producer who once scored four goals in a hockey game. It was a Tier 4 mens league game, but it still counts… right?

We have entered the final week of the tournament and there are just four teams remaining.

The regional champions were crowed after a long weekend of voting.

The Cinderella team keeps on keeping on as No. 10 North Branford pulls off its fourth straight upset, knocking off No. 1 Simsbury to reach the Final Four.

No. 5 Cheshire knocked out No. 2 Lyman Hall to win the Drury Region.

No. 4 West Haven continued its tear through the Quick Region beating No. 3 Woodstock Academy.

In the Pacioretty Region it was Notre Dame-West Haven that came out on top, holding off Guilford.

In regards to photos. We used photos that we have taken over the years, some were used with the help of some team’s Twitter accounts and others were submitted. If a photo representing a team is not the updated version of the jersey, please email me at pete.paguaga@hearstmediact.com and I will update the photos immediately.

Now the real reason why you are all here, voting.

Let’s get at it. The polls will close on Wednesday night (Jan. 20) at 7 p.m.
