Seven people will be inducted into the New Haven Tap-Off Club Hall of Fame on Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. at Amarante’s Sea Cliff in New Haven. The seven inductees are:
Celeste Beatty, longtime assistant girls basketball coach at Shelton
Tony Candido, former referee and evaluator of officials
Joe Canzanella, a former referee and currently the New Haven citywide athletic director
Pat Paulson, a longtime former referee and star player at East Haven
Sonja Beamon Rezendes, a member of the 1987 University of New Haven women’s basketball team that won the NCAA Division II national championship
Nicole Hansen-Sturgess, a former standout player at Branford and Lehigh
T.J. Trimboli, who played at Norwalk and Southern Connecticut State University.
