In the New Balance National Indoor Track and Field boys meet at the The Armory in New York on Friday, Edward Williams of Sacred Heart won the 60-meter hurdles Emerging Elite division in 7.94 and Aaron Williams of Bloomfield won the weight throw Emerging Elite division with a throw of 63 feet, 11.75 inches.
Peter Schulten of Xavier was 10th in the 2-Mile Emerging Elite division in 9:30.29.
In the girls portion of the New Balance National Indoor Track and Field meet, Leah Moore of Hillhouse was fourth in the shot put (41-8.5) and eighth in the weight throw Emerging Elite division with a throw of 45 feet, 11.25 inches.
Grace Hanratty of Old Saybrook was 16th in the 800-meter Emerging Elite division in 2 minutes, 17.32 seconds.
Meredith Bloss of Guilford was 20th in the 5000-meter championship in 18:47.62 and Caroline Webb of Greenwich was 14th in 18:22.32.
In other girls events, Tess Stapleton of Fairfield Ludlowe was fifth in the 60 hurdles Emerging Elite division in 8.67 and Patricia Mroczkowski of Berlin was seventh in the high jump championship with a height of 5 feet, 8.75 inches.
