Chet Ellis of Staples had the best individual result for Connecticut boys at the New Balance National Indoor Track and Field championships at The Armory in New York. Ellis took third place in the high jump championship division with a height of 6 feet, 9 inches.
Mari Noble of Greenwich was the top finisher in the girls portion of the meet with a fifth place in 1-mile Emerging Elite division with a time of 5:00.77.
Ja’Kwan Hale of Derby was 18th in the boys high jump (6-3.25).
Justin Forde of McMahon was 12th in the long jump championship with a leap of 23-2.
Michael Browning of RHAM was 12th in the shot put championship with a throw of 57-3.
