Lauren Card tossed a perfect game with 10 strikeouts for the top-seeded North Haven softball team, which defeated No. 8 Sacred Heart Academy 8-0 Monday in a Southern Connecticut Conference tournament quarterfinal at North Haven.
Hayley Garthwait had two hits and two RBIs and Peyton Davis added two RBIs for North Haven.

Breana Brown pitched a one-hitter, struck out 14 and collected the 100th hit of her career to lead the Notre Dame-Fairfield softball team to a12-0 win over Stratford Monday in a South-West Conference quarterfinal game.
Brownhad two hits for the Lancers who advance to play New Milford in the SWC semifinals Tuesday night at 7 at DeLuca Field. Justina Holland had two hits and Meredith McDonald a double and home run for Notre Dame.

SHORELINE QUARTERFINALS
PORTLAND 7, HALE RAY 4
Cole Peterson hit a two-run home run in the sixth and a bases-loaded triple in a decisive, 5-run fourth inning as top-seeded Portland rallied past Hale Ray in the Shoreline Semifinals. Peterson also pitched a scoreless seventh to earn the save.
Hale Ray used a four-run fourth inning to take a 4-0 lead, but Portland rallied back to take the lead in the bottom of the inning. Bryan Dinnis pitched six innings and earned the win for the Highlanders, who will play host to the winner of the 4/5 game between Coginchaug and Old Saybrook, which was suspended due to rain. The SLC semifinals will be Wednesday.
