WOODBURY >> Lewis Mills boys basketball (2-0) dominated defending Berkshire League co-champion Nonnewaug 78-52 in an early-season show of strength at Nonnewaug High School Thursday night.
Trevor Baker, Josh Schibi and Jackson Lord controlled the boards while guards Joe Neary, Lorenz Gunzl and Kyle Alvarez directed traffic.
Baker had 16 points and 15 rebounds; Schibi had 15 points; Alvarez had 11.
Nate Firlings (game-high 26 points) and Ryan Cleary (13 points) had all but 12 of the Chiefs’ points.
Platt Tech 71, Wolcott Tech 38 >> Twelve Platt Tech players scored at Wolcott Tech, led by 11 points each from Dan Luperella and Carlos Suarez and 10 from Shawn Williams.

Thomaston 68, Shepaug 18 >> Thomaston center Casey Carangelo rampaged for 23 points in a rout at Shepaug High School. Julia Quinn added 13. Kaitlyn root had 13.
