NORTHFORD >> The Housatonic/Northwestern/Wamogo ice hockey team (1-3-1) skated undefeated Lyman Hall/Haddam-Killingworth/Coginchaug (3-0-1) to a 3-3 deadlock at the Northford Ice Pavilion Wednesday night.
Nick Mierzejewski, Jason Diamond and Finn Bambery scored the Mountaineer goals. Kyle Roberts, Chris Blanchard and Hunter Boileau scored for Lyman Hall.
Housatonic goalkeeper Matt Murray made 26 saves to 27 for Lyman Hall keeper Zachary O’Toole.
Nonnewaug 60, Holy Cross 9 >> The Chiefs dominated at home with pins by Anthony Delia and Ed Boisits. Aaron Velasquez won a decision for the Crusaders; Albert Nieves had a pin. The fledgling Holy Cross team forfeited the rest of the matches.
Terryville 42, Derby 33 >> Fred Ellegard, Connor Levins, Josh Tellier, Josh Wright, Hunter D’Antonio and Jason Hume all scored pins for the Kangaroos at Terryville.
Chris Oliwa, Mike Szwaja, Charlie Sampson and Jordan Stefancin had pins for the Red Raiders. Zach Cerreto won a decision.
Northwestern 29, Litchfield 24 >> Emma Propfe (11 points) and Morgan Daley (9 points) led the Highlanders in a come-from-behind win at home. Gina Weingart added 8 rebounds, Addie Hester, 7 steals.
Sam Foley had 9 points for the Cowgirls. Elena Kennedy had 6 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks.
Northwestern pulls up to 3-4; Litchfield is 2-4.
New Fairfield 47, Wolcott Tech 16 >> New Fairfield shut out the Wildcats 15-0 in the first quarter at Wolcott Tech, then added to the tally every quarter.
Shepaug 59, O’Brien Tech 53 >> Shepaug’s Ryan LaMay had 27 points at O’Brien Tech, including four 3-pointers. Clayton Schneider added 14 points and 10 rebounds for his fifth straight double-double.
Jamar White was high scorer for the Condors with 18 points.
Shepaug is 4-1; O’Brien Tech is 2-4.
