Coming in at No. 6 on the 2013 Litchfield County best fall team list is the Lewis Mills boys’ soccer team.
The Spartans, like the girls team at Lewis Mills, won the Berkshire League title. Also like the girls team the boys did not lose a single game during the season but unlike the girls they tied five ties, finishing the regular season 11-0-5.
They were led by seniors, Seth Ouellette, Ryan Finlay and Alexander Daigle, who only allowed only six goals during the regular season and sophomore Freddy Marinelli who will be a force to be reckoned with for the next two seasons.
In the State Tournament the Spartans earned the No. 3 seed in the Class M Tournament and in the first round they cruised past Killingly before falling in the second round to Ellington is a close game, 1-0.
When the season came to end, the Spartans only lost one game the entire season and Daigle allowed only seven goals.
According to the people that was good enough to name the Lewis Mills boys’ soccer team the sixth best team in Litchfield County this fall.
