Davon Colon (Xavier): At the boys SCC Coaches Invitational he won the shot put with a distance of 51 feet, 7 inches and at the SCC West Sectional he won the shot put in a meet record 55-5.

Caleb Owen (Wilbur Cross): At the boys SCC West Sectional, he won the 300 in a meet record 35.84.

Jared Russo (Notre Dame-West Haven): At the boys SCC West Sectional, he won the 55 hurdles in a meet record 7.94.

Kate Hedlund (Manchester): At the girls SCC Coaches Invitational, she won the 3200 in 11:10.09.

Nyia White (Wilbur Cross): At the girls SCC West Sectional, she won the 300 in a meet record 40.96.

Paige Martin (Norwich Free Academy): At the girls SCC Coaches Invitational she won the pole vault (12 feet, 6 inches).

MEETS TO WATCH

FCIAC Western Division Championship, Saturday, 10 a.m., at Staples High, Westport: Boys and girls teams from the FCIAC Western Division compete for the right to advance to the FCIAC Championships on Feb. 6 at Floyd Little Athetic Center in New Haven.

FCIAC Eastern Division Championships, Saturday, 9:30 a.m., Wilton High: Boys and girls compete for the right to qualify and advance to the FCIAC Championships on Feb. 6 at Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.

ECC Championships, Saturday, 4 p.m., at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London: Boys and girls from the Eastern Connecticut Conference compete for league titles.

CCC Championships, Saturday, 9 a.m., at Floyd Little Athletic Center, New Haven: Boys and girls from the Central Connecticut Conference compete for league titles and prepare for the CIAC state meets.

NCCC Championships, Saturday, 4 p.m., at Floyd Little Athletic Center, New Haven: Boys and girls from the North Central Connecticut Conference compete for league titles.

CRAL Championships, Sunday, noon, Hartford Public Field House: Boys and girls teams from Capital Regional Athletic League from the Hartford area compete for league titles.

NVL Championships, Monday, 5:30 p.m., at Floyd Little Athletic Center: Boys and girls from the Naugatuck Valley League take a trip to New Haven to compete for league titles.
