Danae Rivers from Wilbur Cross finished second in the girls 600-meter run at the New England Interscholastic Indoor Track & Field Championships held Sunday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.
Rivers finished with a time of 2:50.68. Maegan Doody from Oyster River, New Hampshire, won the race at 2:49.31.
Samantha Drop of Coginchaug and Emily Criscuolo from Amity finished third and fifth, respectively, in the 1-mile run. The Windsor girls captured the 4×200 relay (1:42.78) and the Danbury boys won the 4×800 relay (7:55.28).
Samantha Stevens of Shelton took second in the shot put (43-05.5) and Julian Campbell of Wethersfield was second in the high jump (6-5).
Hannah DeBalsi from Staples captured the 2-mile run (10:29.46) while Eric Vanderels from McMahon took second in the 2-mile run (9:11.02). Elijah Young from Wethersfield won the 300 (34.62) while Caroline O’Neil from Hand took third in the girls 300 (40.01). Tyler Gleen of Trumbull won the 600 (1:19.89) and Jon Gill of Lyman Hall took third in the 1000 (2:30.84).
Jada Harris from St. Joseph won the 55-meter hurdles (8.19).
