The Housatonic/Wamogo football program announced today it was forfeiting its second consecutive game. This week’s game vs. Coginchaug was declared a forfeit.
Citing low numbers on the team, Housatonic/Wamogo forfeited last week’s game vs. Lewis Mills.
It marks an unprecedented fifth forfeit of the season among CIAC football programs. Immaculate also officially forfeited this week’s game vs. Bethel. The Mustangs announced last week it was forfeiting the remainder of its games.
As of now, Housatonic/Wamogo hasn’t made such a declaration. Coach Deron Bayer said decisions would be made week to week.
