Hopkins senior Erin Earley finished fourth at the 200-yard backstroke event at the 2016 AT&T Winter National Championships in Atlanta on Saturday.
Earley qualified for the final by finishing second in her preliminary heat with a time of 1:55.42. Swimming in a final with four current college swimmers Earley finished in 1:55.05 edging out fellow University of Virginia commitment Paige Madden for fourth place.
Bridgette Alexander, a junior at Kentucky, won in a time of 1:52.38. North Carolina State junior Hannah Moore and Ohio State commit Kristen Romano finished second and third respectively.
Earley also finished fifth in the 400 individual medley B final with a time of 4:17.52 allowing her to place 13th in that event.
Also, Branford’s Christina Rasile finished 32nd in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.42.
