Hillhouse’s Harold Cooper has committed to the University of Rhode Island to play football.
Cooper, who recently completed a stellar career as the school’s all-time leading rusher with 6,661 yards and 99 total touchdowns, made the announcement on Twitter Sunday morning.

As a senior, Cooper tallied 2,692 all-purpose yards, rushed 165 times for 1,711 yards and 25 touchdowns, caught a touchdown pass, scored on a punt return, made 46 tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown.
His career rushing total is fourth-best in state history.
Cooper was All-SCC, coaches all-state first-team, all-Walter Camp and all-Levi Jackson team selection. Cooper is a three-time Register All-Area selection. Led Academics to the Class M title in 2010 and 2012.
