Alec Erskine’s two-run single in the fifth inning provided the difference for Haddam-Killingworth in the Shoreline Conference tournament semifinals at Higganum.
Jon Civiello allowed just two hits to earn the win for the Cougars (16-5). Carl Jacobson had a two-run double for the Thunderbirds (14-8).

NOTRE DAME-FAIRFIELD 8, THOMASTON 1
Tiff Suporn was 4-for-4 with a triple and a home run as Notre Dame-Fairfield completed its regular season with an 8-1, non-conference win over Thomaston. The Lancers, who also received a strong pitching performance from Breana Brown (no-hitter into seventh, struck out 13), are in the middle of the SWC tournament and will play Masuk Thursday for the title at DeLuca Field in Stratford.
