SEYMOUR — Ian Sadick rushed for three touchdowns and passed for another score to lead Seymour in a 45-27 win over Oxford in a NVL football game Friday night.
Sadick had 23 carries for 168 yards, including scoring runs of 1, 5 and 12 yards, and completed 9 of 16 passes for 133 yards, including a 5-yard pass to Tyler Ganim, to lead the Wildcats, who improved to 5-1.
The victory was Steve George’s 100th victory as a head coach. He took over Seymour on an interim basis to start this season.

Ganim finished the game with 297 yards of total offense, including touchdowns on runs of 55 and 4 yards, and Jacob Carfo scored on a 68-yard fumble recovery for Seymour.
Dylan Battle scored two rushing touchdowns and Lee Braley scored touchdowns on an 105-yard interception return and on a 20-yard pass from Cayden Mitchell to lead the offense for the Wolverines (2-4).

WEST HAVEN — The Green Knights scored 15 points in the fourth quarter to pull out a come-from-behind win over the Spartans.
Trailing 14-6 going into the final quarter, Warren Murphy scored a pair of touchdowns—on a 20-yard pass from Jackson Zalinsky and on an 11-yard run—to give the win to Notre Dame (4-2).
Joseph Digello and James Laubstein each scored a rushing touchdown in the loss for the Spartans (4-2).

WEST HAVEN — Cheshire stopped West Haven on four downs at the goal line to preserve a 21-14 victory over West Haven, the Rams’ first victory of the season.
Ryan Mancl’s 42-yard touchdown run with 5:19 remaining in the third quarter put Cheshire ahead to stay. In addition to their goal line stand, the Rams forced West Haven to turn the ball over on downs with 3 minutes remaining.
Jordan Berrios and Juan Gutierrez had touchdown runs for West Haven.

ROCKVILLE — Colton Engel ran 23 times for 139 yards and two touchdowns and threw for another 90 yards and two scores as Stafford/Somers/East Windsor stayed unbeaten (6-0) with a 30-15 victory over Rockville.
The game was a meeting of two former Ellington assistant coaches, Brian Mazzone of Stafford and first-year Rockville coach Erick Knickerbocker.
Rockville scored first on a Kejuan Green 8-yard touchdown run and the Rams held that lead into the second quarter. But, beginning with a 13-yard touchdown strike from Engel to Cody Gebo, the Bulldogs scored 23 unanswered points to end the half.
Rockville (4-2) only managed to get within 23-15 in the fourth quarter, but Gebo’s second touchdown catch, a 28-yarder from Engel, sealed the victory.
Tyler Gilbert made 10 tackles, Johnny Kopek had five tackles, including three for a loss and a sack for Stafford. Engle made seven tackles, one for a loss and had a sack. Gebo also had a sack.
