Welcome to a special episode of the High and Tight baseball podcast.
It’s the offseason for high school baseball, but there is still lots to talk about this summer.
With the Aberdeen IronBirds in Norwich playing against the Connecticut Tigers, I drove up and sat down with former Housatonic star Willy Yahn.
We talked about his career and how playing high school baseball prepared him for his career path.
Yahn talked about what he did when he was in high school to prepare him for his future in baseball. He even gave some tips for any high school baseball players.
Yahn starred at Housatonic and, later, at Connecticut. He played at UConn for three years and was named captain as a junior. He he was drafted in the 25th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles.
