Tre Breland led the way with 21 points for Hamden Hall, which defeated Greens Farms 76-67 in overtime Wednesday in a Fairchester League showdown at Westport.

Jackson Benigni added 19 points for the Hornets, who trailed 55-44 in the second half before closing out the half on a 16-5 run to force overtime. Christian Adams and Jakki Pettway finished with 13 and 10 points, respectively, for Hamden Hall.

“Our guys never gave up even when they were down 11,” Hamden Hall coach Sean Doherty said. “Our veterans, they are not used to losing and they kept on being resilient in our press. And they (Greens Farms) started to throw the ball all over the place. And then we started making the shots that we missed in the first half.”

Cole Prowitt-Smith led all scorers with 28 points for Greens Farms.
