Greenwich QB Gavin Muir commits to Dartmouth

Greenwich quarterback Gavin Muir, a consensus first-team All-State quarterback and the 2018 Walter Camp Player of the Year,  announced he was committing to play football Dartmouth College Sunday.

The senior, 6-foot-3, 209-pound quarterback threw for 2,474 yards and 31 touchdowns against just six interceptions, while leading the Cardinals to a dominate 13-0 season where they captured the Class LL state championship.

Muir threw for over 200 yards eight times, including all three state tournament games, and over 300 in the quarterfinals. He threw for five touchdowns in a game once and three or more eight times and he also ran for 277 yards and eight touchdowns.

He leaves Greenwich as the all-time leader in pass attempts (683), completions (401), touchdown passes (71) and his team set marks for total points (579) and touchdowns (80).

Muir was named the First-Team quarter of the 87th New Haven Register All-State Football team.
