Middletown 3, Bulkeley 0 >> Kelly Gambell scored two goals and Mikaela Coady had one goal in the Blue Dragons season finale Wednesday at Hartford’s Colt Park. Goalie Desiree Hinton earned the shutout with two saves for Middletown (13-3). Goalie Toris Dunning made six saves for Bulkeley (0-14-1).
Mercy 7, North Haven 1 >> Olivia Ozycz had two goals and Haley Vanty had one goal and two assists to lead the Tigers to a Senior Day victory Wednesday at Middletown. Danielle Richardson had one goal and one assist, while Alex Zampini, Kendra Landy and Katelyn Richardson had one goal apiece for Mercy (13-2-1). Maggie Sullivan scored the Indians goal, with an assist from Nicole Nunez. North Haven fell to 2-13.
Girls volleyball
East Hampton 3, Lyme-Old Lyme 0 >> The Bellringers (12-5) celebrated Senior Night by sweeping the Wildcats 25-21, 25-10 and 25-11 Wednesday at East Hampton. Leading the way for East Hampton were seniors Dakota Reed (24 assists), Shayla Belanger (seven kills), Lauren Randall (seven kills), Katy Beem (five kills) and Hailey Picking (10 service points). Old Lyme fell to 4-13.
Valley Regional 3, Hale-Ray 1 >> The Warriors topped the Little Noises 14-25, 25-11, 25-20 and 25-16 at Deep River. Michaella Pace had 22 assists, four blocks and two kills, Leah Sopneski had 17 service points, including seven aces, along with seven kills, and Michaela Paholski had 10 kills and two digs for Valley (9-10). Eliza Burke had 11 kills and Tara Schwenzfeier had 19 assists for Hale-Ray (10-8).
Mercy 3, Guilford 0 >> The Tigers defeated the Indians 25-11, 25-8 and 25-13 at Middletown. Mckenzie Dugan had 10 kills, while Abby Nagy had nine kills, eight aces and nine digs for Mercy (15-2). Lynne Guiborry had 11 digs, Kristen Urban had seven assists, and Sam Grinold had three kills and six digs for Guilford (8-10).

Middletown 5, Bulkeley 0 >> Umberto Spada had two goals, and Joey Pizzuto, Alex Pandolfe and Joey Marino had one goal apiece as the Blue Dragons blanked Bulkeley Wednesday night at Rosek-Skubel Stadium. Lucas Saunders, Logan Pingree and Austin Marino each had one assist, while goalie Chris Rodo earned the shutout with four saves for Middletown (9-4-3). Roandre Wollery made 11 saves for Bulkeley.
