With a couple teams taking their first loss of the season this past week, the girls volleyball coaches poll sees some shuffling around in this latest edition.
Amity and Haddam-Killingworth suffered their first defeats of 2016 in the past week, but the two teams went in opposite directions. Amity fell from No. 4 to 6 while the Cougars moved up from No. 5 to 4.
At the top of the poll, Farmington remains No. 1 as the lone undefeated team in Class L, but just below RHAM and Greenwich swapped places with the Sachems moving up to No. 2 and the Cardinals down to No. 3.
Lyman Memorial, the only other unbeaten team in the state, moved up from No. 7 to 5 and Brien McMahon went from No. 8 to 7.
Stamford, who has won 10 straight, enters the poll at No. 8 while Glastonbury remains static at 9 and Ridgefield, who lost a five set match to St. Joseph, fell to 10th.
Dropped out: Granby Memorial (10).
