A power outage has forced the CHSGHA state girls hockey tournament to move its games to Terry Connors Rink in Stamford Saturday.
The games were originally scheduled to be held at the Darien Ice House, but a power outage in the town forced the move. Darien will play Simsbury at 6:35 p.m., followed by New Canaan vs. West Haven at 8:20 p.m.
The FCIAC boys swimming championships have been postponed to Sunday at 2 p.m. at Greenwich High School. Problems with the pool water led to the postponement, according to the FCIAC website. It is the second time the event has been postponed. Inclement weather postponed the event Thursday. The meet will now be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 4, with warm-ups to begin at 12:30 p.m.
The FCIAC boys hockey championship game between Ridgefield and Greenwich is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at the Darien Ice House. The game had not yet been postponed, but officials were monitoring the power situation.
