GAMES TO WATCH
Wilbur Cross at Hillhouse, Mon. 5 p.m.: Both teams are off to fast starts and looking to stay at the top of the SCC standings.
Pomperaug at Newtown, Tue. 7 p.m.: SWC rivals renew acquaintances with both not having lost in the league, yet.
East Haven at Hand, Wed. 7 p.m.: SCC seems to have a big game every night, this one fits the bill.
Norwalk at Trinity Catholic, Thur. 5:30 p.m.: Iyanna Lops of Trinity and Ashley Wilson of Norwalk among the best players in the state.
Bloomfield at Hall, Thur. 6:45 p.m.: Hall righting the ship after a rough start, will be fired up for this CCC clash.
Northwestern at Gilbert, Fri. 5:30 p.m.: Both teams would like to find themselves atop the Berkshire standings, win here goes a long way.
Watertown at St. Paul, Fri. 7 p.m.: The two teams on top in the NVL early on lock horns.
New London at Stonington, Sat. 7 p.m.: Two top teams in the ECC get after it in Saturday night’s main event.
FINE PERFORMANCES
Savannah Marshall, Westbrook: Senior scored a career-high had 40 points along with 16 rebounds and 12 steals for a triple double in a win 58-43 over Old Saybrook.
Iyanna Lops, Trinity Catholic: Lops put up a triple double with 25 points, 16 rebounds and 10 blocks as Trinity defeated Staples 68-49.
Liv Bonee, Hall: Bonee lead the way with 23 points and 10 rebounds as Hall beat Northwest Catholic 62-57 in overtime.
Vanessa Stolstajner, Cromwell: Had a game-high 25 points from Stolstajner who also pulled down 11 rebounds for a double-double in a 61-33 victory over Portland.
Lauren Keel, East Windsor: Keel filled it up with 25 points as East Windsor picked up a 40-35 win over Bolton.
Tanayja London, Hillhouse: London led Hillhouse with 18 points in a 54-45 win over Amity.
Cassi Barbato, Trumbull: Barbato scored a team-high 14 points as Trumbull defeated FCIAC rival Ridgefield 58-44.
