FINE PERFORMANCES

Lyzi Litwinko, Berlin: The senior had a career-high 35 points and 13 rebounds, sealing a 64-62 overtime win over Middletown with two free throws.

Hailey Bruneau, Lyman Hall: Bruneau scored 16 points on four 3-pointers including the 100th 3 of her career as Lyman Hall won 44-35 over Lauralton Hall.

Alice Kelly, Wethersfield: Kelly scored 31 points as Wethersfield knocked off Bulkeley 77-60.

Jillian Martin, Amity: The senior guard had 24 points, including four 3-pointers, 8 assists and 4 steals in Amity’s win over North Haven.

Girls Basketball Notebook

Joniyah Bland-Fitzpatrick, New London: Bland-Fitzpatrick scored 20 points as the Whalers defeated East Lyme 53-47, claiming a share of the ECC D-I regular season title for the seventh straight season.

Emma Novajasky, Farmington: In Farmington’s 44-41 upset over Southington, Novajasky scored half her team’s points with a game-high 22.

Abby Charron, Canton: Charron posted a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds as Canton won the NCCC-CCC matchup over Farmington 48-33.

Lauren Keel, East Windsor: The senior put in 30 points in a tight 49-45 victory against Granby Memorial.

Jojo Sanchez, Ansonia: Sanchez had 27 points in a NVL win over Torrington, 77-55.

Caitlyn Donadio, Morgan: The junior had 19 points, including a steal, game-winning basket and free throw in a 42-39 win over Guilford.

GAMES TO WATCH

Southington at Northwest Catholic, Monday, 6:45: Lots on the line in this one. Southington in CIAC Class LL and Northwest Catholic in MM both have shots at top-4 seeds and home court through the quarterfinals. A loss here all but eliminates that possibility.

Wolcott Tech at Abbott Tech, Tuesday, 6: The No. 1 seed in the CIAC Class M tournament will belong to Abbott Tech (18-1) with a win over their CTC rivals. Abbott Tech has won 11-straight entering the final week.

Housatonic Regional at Nonnewaug, Tuesday, 6: Nonnewaug (16-2) is looking to avenge an earlier loss (45-44 on Jan. 17) and clinch the Berkshire League regular-season crown.

Wethersfield at Newington, Tuesday, 6:45: Newington’s only CCC loss came to Wethersfield 56-40. The Indians have not lost since, winning 7-straight heading into the regular-season finale. A win secures a top-four seed for Newington in the Class L tournament.

New Milford at Notre Dame-Fairfield, Tuesday, 7: No. 1 Notre Dame can finish unbeaten in the state and as the No. 1 seed in the SWC and CIAC Class L tournaments. The Lancers only loss this season came to Hudson Catholic of New Jersey.

Parish Hill at Putnam, Tuesday, 7: Nobody has to travel longer distances in states than schools in Class S. A win by Putnam over Parish Hill, will give it home-court advantage as long it remains in the tournament.

Kolbe Cathedral at Pomperaug, Tuesday, 7: Both teams enter the final game of the regular season with four losses in the SWC. The winner gets a top-4 seed in the SWC tournament.

Holy Cross at Windsor, Wednesday, 6: What better way to prepare for the state tournament than with a NVL-CCC crossover game to end the regular season? Windsor in Class L and Holy Cross in Class M are both gunning for high seeds in states.

Wilton at Ridgefield, Wednesday, 7: Ridgefield coach Rob Coloney gets to face his old team in the final game of the season, needing a win to get in to the FCIAC tournament. Wilton must beat Ludlowe Monday and Ridgefield in order to keep its FCIAC playoff chances alive.

Danbury at Stamford, Wednesday, 7: Both teams are already in the FCIAC playoffs but could end up seeded anywhere from No. 3 to No. 7, depending on the outcome of this game.
