Bethel getting votes over Danbury who beat them by 40? Do some homework people!

baseball fan very interesting post. Not taking nothing away from Bethel but a 40 point loss to Danbury and a overtime win vs SCC bottom team Foran.SMH

Probably because Bethel hasn’t lost since, and Danbury has barely had their full team together for more than a game, and hence has lost a few times since then, including a really bad loss where they were blown out @ Staples.

Bethel ranked 20th? And no mention of Danbury who beat them by 40? Hmmm

    • PTPup says

      January 26, 2017 at 9:35 AM

Yeah Bethel is no where near as good as their record suggests. I heard they were soundly beaten in an early season scrimmage by a Wamogo team that’s #2 in BL (not exactly a power conference but a good S school). SWC is top heavy as it is and they’ve had the easy side of the schedule so far.

I like seeing smaller conference teams get some love in the polls. Be nice if they did a poll like soccer based on size LL/L and M/S. East Hampton, Canton, Lewis Mills, Wamogo, Westbrook, etc getting votes from the small conferences would be a nice touch.

Or how about a top five for every division?

My two cents – the ND win at NJ powerhouse should push them to #1

      January 24, 2017 at 12:43 PM

You think that after hillhouse beat the #1 team in New York and the #1 team in western Massachusetts I think beating two #1 teams out ways beating 1 #1 team plus they just won 3 games in a row without there best player I would like to see how ND would do without there best player

Wait, according to all the other blogs, the PG is their best player.

    • gobballfan says

      January 24, 2017 at 1:50 PM

Nails….No, Joey K is best player in state, and Douglas is best PG in the state. Don’t get the House rankings wrong.

LOL. You don’t believe that, so why say it????? stop the nonsense, because when people see stuff like this, they don’t even take you serious……….. If you really believe that their is a better player, bar none in CT. BETTER THAN TREMONT WATERS, I SEE WHY THE BIG 5 COACHES NEVER SHOW UP ON SHERMAN AVE. you are delusional……

  5. New haven stand up says

    January 24, 2017 at 3:52 PM

Tremont is the best player in the state but after that the next 4 slots is all House players and Bergen was #4 in nj don’t try to hype it up let’s remember to he played four years of prep basketball and he’s older than all of house kids tyreek perkins was 19 his senior year an had to transfer to Putnam to play take tremont off this team and there not even ranked take joey out an there still #1

    • serious says

      January 25, 2017 at 3:20 PM

Thank you for that honesty of the first part of statement. I do agree with you that Hillhouse is undoubtedly the deepest team in the state, and may arguably have the best personnel man for man after Tremont, and i won’t arue that point, but im sure many a coach will, such as, the East Cathoilic coach is going to say his kid, Mcguirl is next in line, and Kansas state which is considered a high major program is there to vouch for that. I think Hillhouse has the most D1 prospects collectively, but unfortunately, no high majors.

    January 24, 2017 at 4:44 PM

I don’t think tremont was recruited from Notre Dame at Westhaven I don’t even think those coaches know Where that school is next time one of them is in the building someone take a pic and post it please thanks

  7. gobballfan says

    January 24, 2017 at 4:45 PM

Serious… Relax, I was just repeating what the HH fanatics have been posting. Of course Waters is the best player in the state. Quinnipiac Coach was at House/Hamden game last week, so someone is getting D 1 looks, but maybe it was for Hamden.

    • Elvis says

      January 24, 2017 at 5:12 PM

Hahahaha you should do stand up comedy your a funny guy maybe it was for Hamden that was a good one

    • 25 says

      January 24, 2017 at 5:31 PM

Why wouldn’t they be there for Hamden cj going d1 and Ronnie will go if he keeps his head straight

    • Elvis says

      January 24, 2017 at 6:33 PM

First thing Hamden parent why come to new haven if Hamden high is right around the corner verbal and signing are two different things and when that game was over what locker room were the coaches at talking to the kids?????how many games did there best player foul out off he can score on one end but can’t defend without fouling Ronnie is good his future could be bright but if there’s ifs now could be ifs later

    • 25 says

      January 24, 2017 at 7:26 PM

Ain’t no Hamden parent buddy I’m a Hillhouse parent he is being recruited by a a few schools y’all act like no one else could be talented enough to go d1 in the state only your guys

  8. BB says

    January 24, 2017 at 5:13 PM

It would have to be something wrong with anyone who thinks there is a player in the state better than tremont because there’s not well the seven footer at Cheshire Academy if you want count that but other that there’s no one better than that kid you right he is older then any other kid playing high school basketball and that does give him an edge over the other kids he’s playing against but he put a lot of work in too that no can discredit as well.. but ND is not a better team than hillhouse and I believe hillhouse will beat ND in the scc championship game and hillhouse is the #1 team in the state hands down the same way any everybody look at tremont as the best player in state that mean you have some sense so use that same sense and look at hillhouse team as the #1 team in the state

  9. SCC Hoopster says

    January 24, 2017 at 6:15 PM

No question Hillhouse is #1 but ND game will be a very good one. By the way BB – you either need to slow down and take a breath and use spell checker

  10. bill Travis says

    January 25, 2017 at 4:03 PM

I hate to see any kid get hurt. JK from Hillhouse will be out for a long stretch. Hope he keeps in condition for his return. There are no punk teams out there this year. Final four for LL should be a doozy. Hillhouse, Notre Dame, E. Catholic, Warde would be good. E. Hartford, Weaver, Danbury, and several others have shot to be in the mix. Could even be a huge surprise…E. Catholic, Warde, Danbury and Wilbur Cross. It is going be crazy come tourney time!
